Toxicity
can be safely used in food (FDA,& sect;172.515,2000).
use limited
FEMA(mg/kg): soft drink 0.25~0.50; 0.24 of jelly and pudding; Baked food 0.30~2.0; Cold drink 0.25~0.50; Candy 24.
production method
1. It is obtained by esterification of decanoic acid and methanol. Mix 2kg of 14 acid and 3L of methanol, add 200ml of sulfuric acid, and heat and reflux for 10h. After the excess methanol is recovered, the reactants are poured into cold water to wash off the acidity, and then washed in turn with 10% sodium carbonate and water, and distilled under reduced pressure to obtain about 1.5kg of finished product.
2. It is formed by direct esterification of methanol and myristic acid in the presence of gas phase HCl.
